Overview

T Nakameguro is a standout destination in the heart of Tokyo, specifically located at 〒153-0051 Tokyo, Meguro City, Kamimeguro, 2 Chome−37−12 Comfort Nakameguro, 1階. This hidden gem offers an exceptional dining experience, focusing on premium Wagyu T-Bone steaks that have earned it a spot among the must-try restaurants in the area.

What sets T Nakameguro apart is not just the quality of its food but the entire experience. The atmosphere is sleek and modern, combining elegance with a relaxed vibe perfect for both casual and special occasions. It's a place where you can enjoy a hearty meal while being surrounded by the buzz of one of Tokyo's coolest neighborhoods.

The menu at T Nakameguro is centered on Wagyu beef, and the Wagyu T-Bone Steak is undoubtedly the star of the show. For anyone who enjoys a juicy, tender steak, this dish is a must-try. The Wagyu beef used here is of the highest quality, known for its rich marbling and buttery texture. The T-Bone cut is a perfect choice, as it offers a combination of two of the best parts of the cow-the tenderloin and the strip loin. When cooked to perfection, it provides an unforgettable melt-in-your-mouth experience.

One of the reasons T Nakameguro's Wagyu T-Bone stands out is the cooking technique. The chefs here use a method that ensures the meat retains its natural flavors while achieving a beautiful sear on the outside. They also offer a selection of sauces that complement the steak without overpowering it, allowing the rich taste of the Wagyu to shine through. Whether you prefer it cooked rare, medium-rare, or well-done, the steak will consistently meet your expectations.

The attention to detail doesn’t stop with the meat. The sides are carefully curated to enhance the meal. From freshly prepared salads to perfectly roasted vegetables and mashed potatoes, each side dish is thoughtfully paired with the steak to create a balanced meal. One of the standout side dishes is the grilled asparagus, which adds a crunchy texture and a burst of flavor that contrasts wonderfully with the richness of the beef.

As you sit down to enjoy your meal, you'll notice the impeccable service. The staff at T Nakameguro are well-trained and knowledgeable, ensuring that your dining experience is smooth and pleasant. They're happy to explain the different cuts of beef and offer recommendations based on your preferences. Whether you're a steak connoisseur or a first-time visitor, they make sure you feel comfortable and well taken care of.

In addition to the Wagyu T-Bone Steak, T Nakameguro also offers a variety of other dishes that highlight the best of Japanese cuisine. The menu includes fresh seafood, creative appetizers, and traditional Japanese comfort food, making it a great spot for groups with diverse tastes. However, if you’re in the mood for something rich and indulgent, there’s no better choice than the Wagyu T-Bone.

The location of the restaurant also adds to its charm. Kamimeguro, known for its vibrant atmosphere and trendy vibe, is home to numerous cafes, boutiques, and art galleries, making it an ideal place for a post-dinner stroll. The restaurant’s proximity to the Meguro River means you can also enjoy beautiful views, particularly during the cherry blossom season when the trees line the riverbanks in full bloom.

T Nakameguro has quickly become a local favorite, earning rave reviews from both locals and tourists alike. Diners rave about the quality of the food, the ambiance, and the attentive service. Many reviews highlight the Wagyu T-Bone Steak as a standout dish, with guests noting its tenderness and depth of flavor. The restaurant’s commitment to using top-quality ingredients and providing an exceptional dining experience has made it a must-visit spot for steak lovers in Tokyo.

There’s always a little worry whether a restaurant will live up to the hype when you see it all over Instagram but T Nakameguro lived up to the hype and then some! First they were extremely accommodating by allowing our 7yr old son to join us (without having to pay for a full course for himself). Then they made a special wagyu hamburg meal for him, gave him dessert as well as a special birthday surprise at the end. And the staff - amazing, welcoming, friendly, including Chef himself. The food - if you love beef, you will love this Omi wagyu omakase course. Each dish was well thought out but centered around the main attraction - the beef! Not many restaurants I’d go back to but T Nakameguro is one I can’t wait to return to. Thank you T Nakameguro team for a memorable experience for my family.

We had a great time thanks to the wonderful team (shout out to Eduardo) and Mr. T who we were fortunate to sit by on his day off! He’s a very friendly owner who cares about the customer’s experience. For the course, each dish was unique and flavorful. Their presentation was joy to the eyes that went well with the storytelling from the team. Chatting with the others patrons and staff while enjoying delicious food and drinks, what could be better than that?

This was a lifetime memory spot, Kenji and Yo are legends, the food was completely different to how I expected it, superb fine dinning with the most delicious local and in season ingredients, and I don't think you could find any better Omi steak anywhere! Will definitely come again on our next Japan trip! Wine selection was great, service and hospitality was 5 stars, what a gem of a spot!

I don't even know how to describe it other than it being the best dining experience I have ever had. Head chef Higa is amazing and the rest of the restaurant personel made it an unforgettable experience. It was the perfect way to end our vacation in Japan. I can highly recommend visiting the place. Order their sake/wine menu which pairs up amazingly well with the menu. Thank you for a lovely evening!

Easily the best meal we had while visiting Japan and that’s saying a lot because we ate our way through Kyoto, Osaka, and Tokyo! Every dish was carefully designed and executed. They all hit! The room was cozy and the staff were friendly, inviting, and super knowable about every ingredient used.

Went here for my last dinner in Tokyo. Absolutely incredible experience and food. With excellent service and atmosphere. The place is intimate and serves an Omi beef omakase set. Very filling and enjoyable for a fair price

This omi beef T bone omakase experience did not disappoint! I made reservations 1 month before visiting (I think I checked their availability prior to see when open table reservations opened). It is a quick walk (~10-15 min depending on pace) from the train station. The setting is rather intimate, but it is a nice experience overall. My brother and I were seated in the couch, which was rather funny as we are siblings. Nonetheless, the chef and staff were helpful in making the experience fun and memorable. Prices were reasonable considering what they offered and I left learning about the unique salts to compliment different meats. I would recommend this experience and plan on visiting when I return to Japan in the future!

I Had a wonderful dining experience at T nakameguro! The space is really cool yet sophisticated that felt modern yet welcoming. My standout was the omi beef with uni sauce topped with soy sauce foam and crunchy artichoke. Such a luxurious party in your mouth every taste bud will enjoy. The star of the show was the omi beef T-bone. Grilled to perfection with multiple techniques which included an inferno flame. The presentations was impeccable too, especially the main plate. A unique ceramic plate with a glaze technique that beautifully mimicked the steak’s juices, adding such an artistic and appetizing touch. I really appreciated the thoughtful tableware overall. Huge shout out to the chefs and staff especially Bailey. His knowledge and explanation of each dish and nuances really elevated the entire experience! They also send you home with a thoughtful small gift, but you’ll have to experience it yourself to discover what it is! Thank you to everyone and congrats on the new restaurant soon to open in Roppongi! Side note. In Japanese culture , punctuality is very important so you should make sure you’re on time for your reservation. You don’t come late and expect to everyone to bend over backwards for you . A couple had come an hour after the omakase started which interrupted the entire flow, wasted the staffs precious time and made things awkward.

My boyfriend and I haven’t done omakase or fine dining in a while, mostly because we sometimes feel it can be overrated. We came across this restaurant through a TikTok recommendation, and it absolutely did not disappoint. We honestly haven’t had a meal this good in a long time. We’re both chefs in Canada, and we truly loved the experience. You can feel how much passion the chef pours into every single plate. Watching him work reminded us of why we fell in love with cooking in the first place—the care, intention, and respect behind each dish really showed. What stood out even more was the teamwork. Everyone was clearly passionate and supporting each other—the manager was plating, one staff member was doing dishes and then helping with drinks. It was genuinely nice to see such a united, hardworking team. The star of the night for me was Aki. He was incredibly entertaining, spoke great English, and explained every dish and the menu so clearly. He made the experience even more enjoyable. I couldn’t finish my Omi beef T-bone steak because it was very filling, and I was honestly a bit embarrassed to ask—especially knowing how uncommon take-out is in Japan. Aki kindly offered and even let me choose which salt I wanted. He plated it carefully and thoughtfully. His passion, professionalism, and constant smile truly made us feel taken care of. The food was amazing, and we were seated at the front, which made the experience even more memorable. This was a meal we’ll remember for a long time. Highly recommend.

Had a great meal here. The price definitely isnt cheap, but not overly expensive. If all you want is wagyu, go to a yakiniku restaurant and you could have more wagyu for a cheape price. But if you want an memorable experience, I recommend giving this place a try. We were lucky to get the VIP room, but if you want to see all the action, counter seats are probably better.

Best Wagyu in the whole country of Japan !! The steak would melt like butter in your mouth and was paired with incredible condiments to enhance the Wagyu flavour. They showed us a certified certification of the cow including its birthday, nose print and her mother and father. Such a unique experience and highly recommend to anyone visiting Japan. Worth the money!!!

Such an incredible experience, from the chef's experience and showmanship to the quality of the food. Every dish was incredibly curated to tantalize your palate. My husband who rarely tries seafood, tried many new ingredients because they did a wonderful job incorporating all the ingredients into the dishes. 10/10 for quality, quantity and service

Love beef? Come here. No question about it. At this price point of a JPY20000 course you get intrinsic value bar none. There are Yakiniku or Wagyu places that serve 300gm equally great wagyu or 200gm chateaubriand steak at twice this price. Or there are many cheap Wagyu buffet places at half the price, and you get half the quality. And you will not get the top notch service and attention offered here. Japan's "top three" wagyu brands — specifically Matsusaka Ushi, Kobe Beef, and Omi Beef — all hail from the Kansai region of Japan. While their bloodlines all trace their origins to Tajima beef, a subspecies of Japanese Black cattle from Hyogo Prefecture, each of these wagyu brands boasts a unique flavor profile. Here at T, they only serve A5 grade Omi wagyu. Omi beef is known for its fine marbling, tenderness, rich flavour and mellow aroma. In your Omakase course's main, you are served both Tenderloin and Sirloin cuts charcoal broiled on the T bones in front of your eyes. If you manage to score a counter seat in front of the grill, you get to savour the glorious sight and smell of the process. Simply heavenly. There's even a doggy bag sourvenir of Omi taco made from the trimmings to bring home in case you miss the flavour. I came out of the restaurant full. Happy with an oily mouth that I'm not wiping for awhile...

One of our trip highlights! We had our anniversary dinner at T and it was such an amazing experience. The food, the environment, the team, everything was just amazing! The quality and price is absolutely worth it. Definitely visiting again.

Really beautiful meal and pairing throughout our night. The private vip room is very special and Bailey was truly a delightful addition to the experience. Joshua was also great. Thanks again
